My life long story has been the pursuit of creating visual art.

As a child, I loved drawing, painting and creating. Once I discovered photoshop and photography in high school there was no turning back.  My photoshop was self taught through many hours of experimentation and I studied photography formally, doing a BA of Visual Communication, (Photography and Digital Imaging) at the University of Western Sydney, Australia. 

My deep interests in retouching and photographic illustration led me to Electric Art, one of the worlds best commercial image producers. Here I had the wonderful chance to both retouch and photograph amazing images working with the worlds biggest brands and ad agencies. 

Moving to Hong Kong, I started “Josh Takes Photos”, a fun brand of photography with the aim of venturing into other areas of photography such as shooting portraiture, fashion and events. 

In mid 2015, I set up a studio space in Causeway Bay as a much needed space for shooting all types of photography in a convenient location.
